Nor did he think to resist. He'd already cried his heart out into Marius' shirt. What difference was there in letting their fingers twine? It was too late to prevent this moment from becoming another chip on the pile of emotionally charged memories of people he shouldn't care about.

"Trying to remind me of home?" he asked, recovering some of his sarcasm as he gestured around him. "It's missing a few prostitutes and dead animals, but it'll do."

It wasn't very funny.
